Canceled Dates/New ones...
Due to an extended business trip in Rwanda and perpetual pneumonia, the No Cover Band will be forced to cancel the 5/5 gig at St. Mary’s College and the 5/8 gig at the Roundup.
We will return to the Roundup to subject the masses to hearing loss, temporary loss of their moral compass and a guaranteed good time on the dates listed below:
June 18th
August 20th
September the 24th
Of special note, the 9/24 gig is the Acalanes Class of 1980 reunion. As previously stated, the social chairmen for the class of 1980, Mr. Page and Mr. Black, are either true visionaries or have exhibited an extraordinary lack of judgment in asking the No Cover Band to play this event. We will need to review the police blotters on 9/25 to determine if their choice of entertainment was a good decision. This is the “bar night” that takes place the night before the real reunion. We are really looking forward to this one….
We suggest that you mark this one down in your calendars, secure a baby sitter and prepare for an outstanding evening.

I'm really intrigued by the trip to Rwanda you mentioned. I had a friend who traveled there and worked at a medical clinic. She educated the locals about things like disease prevention and birth control pills. She said it was very rewarding for her.

Our Guitar Player Peter runs a coffee company called San Francisco Bay Coffee that has been family run for the past 30 years. Great coffee, (Sold at Costco in 3lbs bags) Above and beyond being great cofee, the company runs a number of AMAZING social programs. They are driving a lot of positive change in the regions where coffee is grown.
In short, they purchase 1/3 of all of the coffee in Rwanda. Peter travels a lot and his trips are usually the reason why we cancel so many gigs.
